Artist Bio

Bridie Weaver is a visual artist and curator working in Central Queensland, Australia. Bridie investigates the fragments of place that we carry with us through a practice spanning printmaking, installation, sculpture, experimental sound, and projection art. Recent works seek to express the instability of remembered and imagined places, drawing from the content of dreamscapes, history, and memory.

Selected exhibitions to feature Bridie’s work include the Rio Tinto Martin Hanson Memorial Art Award: Gladstone Regional Art Gallery, Gladstone (2025), Viva Magenta: Walter Reid Gallery and Studio, Rockhampton (2023), and the Fremantle Art Centre Print Award: Fremantle Art Centre, Fremantle (2021).
